Description of Works

Here we provided remedial fire stopping works within the service riser cupboards - fire upgrading within existing service riser cupboards within common areas/escape routes.

For the cupboard doors - we carefully removed timber beading/moulding to the perimeter of vents and metal mesh. Scribe, cut and screw fix fire board over the louvers and sealed all edges with intumescent mastic.

Electrical riser doors and gas riser door - supplied and fitted purpose made fire vent grilles over louvered slots to the risk side/inner face of the lower panel to the gas riser doors, cleaned dust, dirt and debris from door edges, frames and stops, eased and adjusted doors as necessary

Fitted surface mounted intumescent fire and smoke seals to both sides and head of each cupboard door.

Fire door signage "Fire Door Keep Shut".

Exposed timber joists, floor and plywood wall panels - cleaned down woodwork, applied primer and 2 x top coat of clear intumescent coating to provide Class 0 / Class 1 Fire rating.

Service penetrations and underside of timber joist framework, forming the structural/load bearing floor in each riser and ply panels - fire batt/slab in and around multiple services intumescent wraps and/or fire collars - sealed with intumescent mastic.

Fire stopping/ upgrading to existing timber joist work and ply panel forming riser floor - as above and applied specialist fire proof timber coating to exposed wood edges, forming fire break soffit from the underside.

Fire stopped open voids/riser to riser + heads of riser compartment walls and voids into roof area - as above.
