Description of Works

With Jenner as the main contractor on this project - The new union building will provide many facilities to students including a café, social/study space and a student lettings agency.

We are to provide intumenscent solvent based coatings with a top sealing coat to their external perimeter steelwork achieving 60 minute fire protection. We are also to supply and install coated fire batt cut, scribed and friction fitted between between the intumescent coated steel beams to the external cladding abutment making sure all edges, joints and abutments are sealed with intumescent mastic forming require compartments between floors.

Lastly, to supply and install a ventilated rainscreen cavity barrier, using a fixing bracket fitted to the external timber cladding to vertical and horizontal joints.
