Southborough Hub Crest Nicholson

Description of Works

Crest Nicholson are the main contractor on this project to demolish the old council offices and provide a community hub containing a hall, library, council offices and a café. It is our task to provide both intumescent painting and fire stopping works on this project. We are to apply solvent based intumescent coatings to structural beams across 4 blocks providing 60 minute fire protection.

We are also to supply and install a double layer of thick, high density coated fire slab, cut, scribed and friction fitted around services passing through the compartment wall and flat entrance doors (letter box detail) - Making sure all joints, edges and abutments are sealed with intumescent mastic and load bearing fire compounds to service penetrations through fire compartment slabs/intumescent wraps and collars.
